Rose's Message

Hello and Welcome,

Most people have never heard of me. Most people may think I am a joke because of this. But, I am just like most of the people in America; I come from a low-income family. I am a single parent of a beautiful little girl. And, I have student loans I am still paying on.

But, I am not here to talk about me, I am here to talk about how America is in crises. Not from forces outside of this country, but from forces within this country. These forces have become so intense that the only way to fix the issues is for those directly affected to do something about it. That is because of Democrats and Republicans that have been entrusted to serve our needs have failed to do so.

In the summer of 1775, the British colonies of North America Continental Congress had asked King George III to allow the colonies to be more independent without seceding from British rule. King George III, however, did not believe them and declared the thirteen colonies "enemies of the state." It was a committee of five people, composed of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert Livingston, who drafted and presented what has become to be known as the United States Declaration of Independence to the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. This document was declaring and establishing the United States of America as an independent democratic nation, separate from British rule. America was in crises with King George III declaration of war, and the American people came together to fight. Not just white men, but women, black people, and Native Americans fought in the battle against oppression and over taxation.

The two-party Democratic system has been the foundation of this country since its conception, two hundred and thirty-two years ago. It is this very Democratic foundation that has brought us to where we are as a nation today, but in recent decades, this system is failing us as a Nation. Do not get me wrong here; it is not democracy that is failing, but rather the politicians who have lost touch with why they are in office. These politicians have turned their backs on the people and allowed capitalism to taint their very hearts and souls by choosing monetary gain over the people. For the last century, capitalism has been influencing politicians with capital gains of all sorts allowing these public servants to choose their greed over the needs and rights of the people of this Nation. The people of this nation are tired of it and have tried many different things to change it.

In 2016, Donald J. Trump became president of the United States of America by playing on the heartstrings of millions of people who felt oppressed and under-represented. However, his first act after taking office was to call for a meeting with business executives to find out what obstacles they felt America had in place stopping them from growing. Following this meeting on January 23, 2017, and with the help of the Republican-controlled house, Trump overturned thirty-three regulations. Nearly a century of work that was in place to protect American infrastructure, lands, and its people. Rules such as; Flood building standards, Ban on a potentially harmful pesticide, Inclusion of greenhouse gas emissions in environmental reviews, Endangered species listings, Protections for whales and sea turtles, and Safety standards for “high hazard” trains, to name a few. But, the fault it is not all the Republicans, the Democrats have caused many problems as well.

Over the last two hundred years, there have been five major party eras. These eras have seen different political parties come and go, like the Federalist, Democratic-Republicans, and the Whig parties, with some parties, like the Democratic and Republican parties even changing their identity as they evolved. Since its establishment in 1828, the democratic party has gone from a contemporary group to one that claims support of social justice, social liberalism, a mixed economy, and the welfare state. The Republican party started as a social justice party that has evolved into one that is lower taxes, free market capitalism, free enterprise, a strong national defense, gun rights, deregulation and restrictions on labor unions. That leaves both sides fighting each other over simple issues that should not be left hanging in the air, such as immigration, gun control, youth education, and many more. But, there are other political parties with solutions on how to fix many of our nations issues that are being blocked by both the Democrats and the Republicans.

I have spent the last few decades watching each of the presidents (Ragen, Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, and now Trump) run the country with little real regards to the eighty-two percent (82%) of people that make America run. Their primary focus has been on the middle and upper class. America is in crises, and I believe the only way to fix the issues such as immigration, gun control, and youth education, is for those directly affected to do something about it. I, a person from this lower class or predominantly low-income family, have decided the time has come to, not only take our fight to the white house but take this fight into the white house. It is a time that we the people of the working class people have a voice in what is going on in our country. I, myself, am going to fight back by running for president of the United States of America. I am Rose Kincade, a member of the Justice Party, and I want to be the people's President of the United States of America.
