"I come from a proud family that has been involved in public service for as long as I can remember. Some have been police officers, doctors, pharmacists, and entrepreneurs. Now, I want to work for you as your president of the great United States of America. My mission is to bring about social, economic, and environmental reform and to restore our government to one of the people, by the people, and for the people. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our schools, and make public safety, in particular, a top priority. I may not have any government experience. However, we all know what government officials and big businesses have done in stonewalling, finding solutions, navigating complicated governmental agencies, and getting things done in regards to helping the people of the United States. Because of this, the time has come again for the oppressed, the marginalized, and the unheard, to rise up against those who have forgotten that it is not a matter of "making America great again," but rather, remembering that it is about "We the People"."  — Rose Kincade

 LIST OF ISSUES

Platform Issues and where I stand on these issues are stand is as important as getting your vote for president. Here a short list of the important issues with a brief point of view and links to a large explanation.

ABORTION

 

   While I believe that abortion is entirely wrong in most cases, I do think that there are situations where abortion should be allowed. If a pair of teens play around and get pregnant, abortion should not be allowed. Nor, should it be granted when a woman decides not to use contraception, or if it fails to work. The only times that abortion should be allowed is when:


1) it is medically necessary to save the life of the mother.
2) the child would be a financial burden due to medical disability. Or,
3) if the woman has been raped resulting in pregnancy. Continue reading.

FEDERAL BUDGET

 

   I intend to remove most, if not all tax loopholes exploited by corporations. I want to see these very same corporations paying their fair share in taxes just like the nearly two-hundred million Americans who already do. I will also fight to remove the exceptions that US congressman and senators use to avoid paying taxes as well. Continue reading

CIVIL RIGHTS

 

   The US Constitutions opening paragraph reads;

                    "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure

                     domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the

                     Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the

                     United States of America."

ECONOMY

 

   As president, I will submit a plan that will put the people first while requiring corporations to pay into the system that has given them so much. I will also present a bill to be passed into law take corporate lobbyist out of our government forever. Building a strong economy will be the foundation of building a strong America, a prosperous America that has not been seen since the 1970's. Continue reading.

EDUCATION

 

   American education is not the best it could be. In fact, we are even not even in the top fifty percent of the OECD countries. However, we are far from being the worst education system in this world. There is room for substantial improvements, not just in what we teach our children, but, in how we teach our children. Let me clarify this a little further; our rankings in how well our children are reading are at the bottom of the top 15 according to the OECD  website. When it comes to the sciences, we are even lower of the at about 17th compared to the other thirty-three (33) countries that have been graded. However, when it comes to the maths, the worst of the main three classes of education, America is in the lower portion of the 10 worst countries at 25th according to the OECD. ENVIRONMENT

 

   The world is split on the concept of global warming and with good reason. But, many other issues are provable facts that we need to focus on to ensure the future for our children and grandchildren. The first thing I plan on doing as president is to reestablish many of the deregulated systems that President Trump has insisted on being abolished. I will restore the US's commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement, and I will work on measures to promote alternative energy sources. Continue reading.

FOREIGN POLICY

 

   As president, I will sit down with the military advisors and international representatives to determine how necessary it is for our troops to be in each situation. I also want to sit down with leaders from other countries to better understand their needs from us as a nation. I want to have a summit with the countries where there is an ongoing conflict between drug cartels and terrorist groups to understand better what involvement is needed from the US. Continue reading.

GOVERNMENT REFORM

 

   I believe the time has come that we set term limits on all elected offices as well as lifetime limits that an elected official can serve in all branches of the federal government. We also need to remove all protections for elected officials who have been found guilty of crimes against the government, state, or the people. Any elected official who does not vote in the manner in which the majority of voters want, they should be required to make a public statement of apology. Continue reading.

GUN CONTROL

 

   I believe the best thing to do to protect the rights of people and the safety of individuals is for a new amendment that outlines;

  • Who can and can not buy weapons across the board.

  • What training and certificates must be obtained and maintained for ownership.

  • What kind of security must be maintained in the home, vehicle, office, etc. to prevent the wrong individuals from acquiring the weapon.

  • And, stricter punishments for those who perform violent crimes with deadly weapons.

HEALTHCARE

 

   The American healthcare system is in danger of collapsing leaving millions of Americans without any kind of coverage. According to the Canadian Healthcare website, Canada's health care system is a group of socialized health insurance plans that provide coverage to all Canadian citizens. It is publicly funded and administered on a provincial or territorial basis, within guidelines set by the federal government. Continue reading.

IMMIGRATION 

 

   Most Americans are either immigrants or descendants of immigrants. While securing our boards from criminals and terrorist is required. I do not believe the way the current administration is doing it, is the best way. I believe that ICE needs to be reinforced to help patrol the borders. Those crossing the border should be detained, and those with children need to be housed together. Continue reading.

POVERTY

   The official poverty rate in 2015 was 13.5 percent based on the U.S. Census Bureau's estimate. An estimated 43.2 million people living in poverty in the U.S. and, in 2014, 6.5% of the UK population were in persistent poverty, equivalent to approximately 3.9 million people.

 

   While women are at a high percentage of people living in poverty both in the US and the UK, it seems the main contributor appears to be education related. Making education free to everyone to the level of acquiring a Batchelor Degree, I feel that we can drop the poverty rate under 8%. My goal is to work with Americans to find a way to bring the poverty rate of less than 1%. Continue reading.

SOCIAL SECURITY

   Social Security was signed into law on August 14, 1935, by President Roosevelt with the first payments being made in January of 1937. The Social Security Act was established to provide "old age," or retirement benefits, aid to dependent children, disability insurance, and unemployment insurance. In the 1930s millions of people were still out of work, and there was an alarming concern for the elderly and retired Americans who had lost everything. The Social Security program was intended to be and still is today, a social insurance program. Continue reading.
